Call for Art: New Beginnings

We are seeking submissions for art that explores the idea of "New Beginnings." Spring is a time of renewal, rebirth, and new beginnings and Daylight Artist Collective is seeking artworks that represent your ideas of these concepts. This can include exploring new processes and mediums. What does a new beginning look like for you!? Submissions are open to all 2D mediums and styles.

Requirements:

Open to 2D work only, any medium and style
Artwork must be wired and ready to hang on a standard gallery wire hanging system. No sawtooth hangers.
Only one image per entry is required. Max file size is 10 MB. The file must be jpeg format.
Files must be named as "LastName_title_medium.jpg"
Entrants must be 18+

The deadline for entry submissions is February 28, 2023. Artwork will be reviewed and juried into our show. Artists will be notified via email by March 6, 2023.

If selected:

Work can be dropped off at our studios at Daylight Artist Collective, 9 E. College Ave., Westerville, Ohio 43081.
Work can be shipped to P.O. Box 391, Westerville, Ohio 43086. Selected artists pay all shipping costs. Be sure to pack your artwork appropriately. Daylight Artist Collective is not responsible for items damaged during shipping.
Artwork must be ready for professional presentation and be wired for hanging — no sawtooth hangers.

Exhibition:

The show will be held at Daylight Artist Collective's gallery space
The Opening Reception will be on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2-4 PM
The exhibition will run from March 19 to May 6, 2023
Closing Reception will be on May 6, 2023, from 6-9 PM

Please note our studio/gallery space is located on the third floor of a historic building with stairway access only.

Artwork return:

Unsold artwork can be picked up from the studio at the closing reception, otherwise, a pick-up date will be communicated with you.
If you shipped your artwork, a return address label must be included. Your artwork will not be shipped back until you provide a label.
