Who is this for?

You! This is a hangout for artists of any level. Maybe you took some art classes way back in high school and miss it. Maybe you like to sketch, but you’ve never tried to draw from life and you want to see what it’s all about. Maybe you’re an advanced artist and just want to set aside this time each week to practice. All totally valid.

What should I bring?

I’ll set up a little “scene” of objects and give it some nice lighting. You bring your chosen drawing supplies and paper. We have tables and chairs to sit at.

When is it?

I’m trying to keep this going every Tuesday at 6:30. The Events page is the best place to find up-to-date information about specific dates. It’s also a great place to RSVP to specific dates!

Where do I go?

The Daylight Artist Collective hosts this event. It is located at 9 E. College Avenue in Uptown Westerville. The entrance door is located on College, around the corner from the Good Vibes Winery. There are a couple flights of stairs, we’re on the third floor. We unfortunately don’t have an elevator in this historic building, very sorry. There is copious parking in Uptown, but 6:30 can be a tough time to find a convenient spot. There’s street parking on College, but I always recommend the large parking lot behind Jimmy V’s.

Why are you hosting this?

For me, I like the idea of creating a space for people to make new friends and hanging out with other creative people. I also need to practice my drawing!!

I ask for a donation of $5. It really helps Daylight keep the lights on!
